Kaputaş Beach is located about a 25 minute drive from the town of Kaş and only about a ten minute drive from the little town of Kalkan.  The road leading to Kaputaş Beach hugs the mountains on one side while overlooking the Mediterranean Sea on the other.  If you want to enjoy the view, make sure you aren’t in the driver’s seat.  If it weren’t for the myriad of cars strewn along the side of the road it would be easy to pass right by the beach because it is situated over a hundred steps below the road.

The beach is not nearly as large as nearby Patara Beach but the light sand and ever-changing-shades of blue water make it a destination worth visiting.  There are chairs and umbrellas for rent as well as a restaurant and restrooms on sight, so plan to spend the day.

To our friend in the West, keep looking East!
